The Parramatta Female Factory is worth preserving and it is our aim that education is fundamental in passing on the knowledge and research for future generations. The following pages look at the History of the Parramatta Female Factory from various factors such as Transportation, the Ships, the Female Convicts, the Governance of the Factory, those involved in prison reform, the punishments, the hospital, the marriage bureau, the assignments, the work and production undertaken by the convicts, the social construct, the children and all facets of a day in the life of the Mothers of the Nation.
The following pages is an outline of some of the areas that are of interest to all of those who visit the Parramatta Female Factory.
